Johan (pharmand) | 6 comments Hi all

Some time ago I suggested in the "100 Bullets, First shot, last call" reading thread that we could read a whole series together instead of just the first tpb. One concurred.

I think it's nice to read these completed works with someone as there can sometimes be related incidents throughout storyline, that some spot and others don't.

So this is just to hear what you think of that idea. Would anybody be interested in reading a whole series, for example 100 Bullets, together, or just have a thread where we could post questions to each other?

Dave Glorioso | 111 comments I am definitely on board.

I usually am reading several series at a time.
Reading just one volume, like we do, feels incomplete.
Although, can take a long time to complete a series, especially if getting it from a library.

If can't get entire group to agree, I am sure at least some others will agree.

Thus, I second 100 Bullets.

Pierre I'll go for that also. I tend to do read whole series at a time anyway, most recently Chew. I`m game for 100 Bullets.

Meran | 115 comments Unless I hate it, I feel compelled to reading whole series. So, I'm in, if you like.

I just began Thief of Thieves ;)

Lono | 44 comments I'm in. Just gave the first trade to my wife to read and have been looking for a reason to re-read this masterpiece myself. One of my all time favorites.

Meran | 115 comments Several books mentioned here. Which one is being voted for? (I imagine that's what this is about?)

Lono | 44 comments 100 bullets vol. 1 I think.

message 8: by Pierre (new)

Pierre I haven't seen any sort of formal announcement though. Are we all waiting for a start signal?

message 9: by Lono (new)

Lono | 44 comments Not sure. I'm a newb at this. I'll get lubed up and be ready to start when you folks are.

Guys here's a suggestion. The link below is the Buddy Reads folder. Just create the graphic novel you want to read, or a series of graphic novels you want to read and you can post about the book and share your thoughts/comments/questions with each other on that.

For example the topic you created in the Buddy Reads folder is:

100 Bullets (13 volume series) currently reading Volume 2 Split Second Chance.

And you can update the title of the topic to suit the volume you are all reading after you finished reading the previous volumes, etc.

Johan (pharmand) | 6 comments That's cool with me, maybe with the topic just being the title of whatever whole series we choose to read. We might be different places in a series, and I think there should be room to talk about the WHOLE series within one thread so we can discuss the connection between different volumes. How's that sound?

So we just need to pick a series, if you guys agree. I'm all for 100 Bullets, since I expect more confusion to come. Azzarello seems to be very fond of multiple storylines weaving in and out of each other.

Thanks Ken!

Meran | 115 comments On Chew: I'm collecting/reading the Omnivore versions. Does anyone know if Vol 4 is out yet or soon to be?

message 15: by Pierre (new)

Pierre Not yet. Volume 8 is due for release today. So probably the next omnivore collecting #31-40 will also be out soon but I don't see it announced on the Image web site yet. The monthlies just reached #40 with #41 due in April.

Meran | 115 comments I couldn't find anything past vol 3, but I believe it was released this time last year, so I thought, maybe... It's so darned FUNNY!

Of course, I've had some friend's get totally grossed out by just the idea ;)

Pierre Considering some of the things he has had to read eat, I would agree. :-)
(My comment makes more sense now that I spotted my mistake.)
