Support for Indie Authors discussion

Does anyone know what URL I'm supposed to use if I want to provide the address for my facebook page to someone or in my back page of my book? This is what I get if I go to the page myself, but it looks so messy with the numbers on the end. If I drop them though, the page is not found. I know I've seen other authors with a nice clean URL for Facebook. Do you have pay for that or something?

but confirm all of it first.

On your author page, you have the option of setting up your url under settings. Once you have picked your extension, your url will be facebook.com/yourchosenname

Thanks, but I can't seem to find anywhere on my author page that lets me set the URL.

The author's page is a little different. You can click on the ABOUT tab and choose your own URL there.

Things must have changed since the last post. I have just set up a facebook page and went to 'about' and the only option to click for a url is 'enter a facebook web address'. When you click it, it tells you that you must have at least 25 'fans' before you can get one.
