No she was born with it because Valentine injected Jocelyn with more of Ithruiels blood. Jace was born with it too, but it runs threw the Herondale lineage

What do you think Jace's true last name is? People call him Lightwood and Herondale(his true last name and my favorite) but what do you call him??

I call him Jace Herondale. It is obvious because he has the gold eyes like James Heondale and none of the Lightwoods have blond hair
( Other than Gideon nd Gabriel) I always compare Jace and Will together. Plus the Herondales are cute. \(^.^)/

Of course they say Lightwood. At that time thats what they are used to. And only the Iron Sisters nd the Silent Brothers use his real name

Alex, probably. Magnus can't (AND WON'T) because I was thinking he's going to be the common string between all of Cassie's books.

I think Alec is going to die too...I also think Simon, Luke, Maureen maybe Jordan...but you can never tell.

And I call Jace by his lineage, Herondale! Could also be because I love Will and found it very cool that his ancestors have the star he got from the angel pendant when they slept together.

I think she might kill off Jace because the blip for the Dark Artifacts said the books are set in a time close enought to TMI that Jace would be alive and it states that the main character is the best shadowhunter since Jace Herondale....

I don't think she'd kill off Jace for a third time. I think Jace dying would be a bit of a *ahem* overkill. ;)

And that blurb with Emma being the "best Shadowhunter since Jace Herondale" was just some poor wording on Ms. Clare's part- she neither confirmed nor denied it but she was interested/amused by how much of a fire storm it created online, probably b/c she's wonderfully evil and loves to torture us :p Which most likely means the fandom found meaning in something that wasn't there to find meaning in.

I think Simon will either die or become the leader of the NY vampires. As of right now, though, I just can't picture Simon handling immortality and everything that comes with it. I could also see Alec or Isabel passing, but we already lost a Lightwood sibling so...Really it's anyone's head on the chopping block.
