Marina (sonnenbarke) I would take:

Auto-da-Fé by Elias Canetti because it's my favorite book
On the Shortness of Life by Seneca because I would have to be reminded how short life (even on a deserted island!) is - and I know it's not a novel, but it's just too good a book
Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino because it always gives me food for thought

Deborah Pickstone | 563 comments oh I hate this one! It's impossible.....

However.....a very big fat notebook to write a novel in;

How to Build and Sail Small Boats - Canoes - Punts and Rafts;

Survive on a Desert Island

Mirliz | 28 comments This is such a difficult question to answer! But I think I would take:

The Lord of the Rings (complete collection set) by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Redemption of Althalus by David & Leigh Eddings
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling
