Thank you!! I was a little nervous, due to joining so late. But I've been able to tie the books together that I've read thus far, so now I'm very excited!!!

Marnie (marnie19) | 3260 comments Hi Mari - welcome to YLTO! I came by to snoop at your list :)
Are you planning on seeing the movie Divergent? I think I might wait until my daughter's Spring Break and see it with her. Have fun with your chunksters.

Hi Marnie! Thanks for saying hello! I've been checking out everyone's chunksters too, to get ideas for completing my list. I do plan on seeing Divergent, that was partly my motive for reading the series. I love movies almost as much as I love reading!

Marnie (marnie19) | 3260 comments I love going to the movies too. I see you are reading The Book Thief- it was one of my favorite reads of last year- hope you enjoy it.

I am loving The Book Thief!! I love story-lines that are unpredictable, and this story, I think is beautiful. I see that you've read The Woman in White. I have to say that I feel so lucky to have discovered Wilkie Collins! The mystique in his stories are wonderful. When I like an author, I tend to read more than one of their books. I read Basil by him not long ago too, and enjoyed it as well.

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Wow, Mari, I see you read Vanity Fair. I am going to tackle it some day.

How did you feel about Alligent, after reading the other two? I am looking forward to seeing the movie with my daughter. The Book Theif movie is Great, but the book is better! :0)

Hi Cherie! I listened to Vanity Fair, and quite frankly, I think I would have enjoyed it more, if I would have read it. The story did not grab me completely until I was half-way through. But once it was at the end, I was fulfilled. His writing was absolutely magnificent at times, you know, when a sentence is used to describe something, or feelings felt by the character.

After the initial shock and anger at the conclusion of Allegiant (view spoiler) I had become a bit bored with the characters and plot(2nd book was my fav). Still kinda peeved though, lol!!

So sorry Janice!! I'm a bit new to the group. I fixed it, though!!

Janice (jamasc) | 59948 comments Thanks so much Mari. No need to apologize. I haven't seen it in this group yet, but some people get upset when spoilers aren't marked. It's best to mark it and then everyone is happy.

Mari I'm one of those who doesn't like to know details before I get there, so I completely understand. Pretty cool to learn how to hide it, too!

Marnie (marnie19) | 3260 comments I loved The Woman in White so much and am looking forward to reading another of his books. I think The Moonstone will be my next by him probably when I get to my Road Runner section. I will have to check out Basil as well.

Marnie (marnie19) | 3260 comments Congratulations Mari on finishing Mickey! The Invisible Bridge looks interesting and I am adding it to my TBR.

Art could have been the link between that and The Goldfinch. :)

Have fun with The Roadrunner- meep meep.
