How to Promote YOUR book on Amazon discussion

Hi everyone! I ended up querying a lot of bloggers during the promotion for my latest book, a male-voice contemporary YA, and it was definitely an uphill battle. From my own experience, it seems like there’s a lot more interest in MG and YA titles aimed at female audiences. Don’t get me wrong, it’s awesome to see our girls reading, but us guys know that young men need a place of their own!

With that in mind, I decided to roll out my own book review website, which is primarily aimed at our young men who read. I’ll be featuring titles like Ender’s Game, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Where the Red Fern Grows, Tom Sawyer….in short, any book that a red-blooded young man might enjoy digging into. I’ve already pre-written a few dozen reviews for some of my own favorites, but I’d like to extend an open invitation for guest posts as well.

If you’ve got a favorite “book for boys” that you’d like to review, we’d love to host your thoughts! I’m trying to keep all of the reviews short, no more than 3-4 paragraphs at the most, sometimes ending with a question for further discussion. I’m also open to embedding a few video reviews if that’s more your style. All guest posts will include the contributor’s bio and any publicity materials, as well as backlinks to your own website. Also, before you invest your time in writing a review, please check with me to make sure that your favorite book isn’t already in the queue.
