I have been asked this question several times since I first read the Death Cure and to this day I hate answering this because people always MAKE me pick. But if I HAD to pick it would have to be Minho. I love Newt too much and when he died in the book I have never cried so hard at a book. I'm kind of scare to see what they are going to do in the movie version of this book. I want to cry just thinking about it

Newt All The Way

If Minho became a crank Newt would become extremely suicidal.For this reason, I think the book should stay the way it is.

Minho can die. I need by lil baby Newt. I never liked Minho anyway.

Oh my god, that's impossible to answer for me. Newt, Minho, and Thomas were my favorite characters so... first off Newt: He was so kind, calm in most situations, funny, and brave. He was definitely the Glue. Even though he was dying inside, he held everyone else together. Loved him.

Then Minho: He was funny but mean when he needed to be. He supported most of Thomas's plans (they were usually good ones) and knew what to do when he needed to do. Without him in the series I don't think the Gladers would have gotten past all of the obstacles that were in their way. He was truly the Leader.

So asking me that question is like killing me. I already went through enough when Newt died but now your asking me if I'd rather have Minho in his place...? Impossible to pick...

This is so tough... I like Minho cos Asian representation (I'm Asian) is pretty important to me, and he's definitely a likable guy. But then Newt is too sweet and adorable to deny him of this same love.

How do you choose, I re-read the book right before I went and saw the movie, and of course I was crying the entire movie waiting for Newt to die...

I would choose Newt to live though, he's my favorite characters
