My personal favorites were Nifft the Lean and In Yana, the Touch of Undying, both highly recommended to fans of Jack Vance and H.P. Lovecraft. And his short story "The Autopsy" still squicks me out to this day.

Damn, I hadn't heard. I've only read Nifft the Lean and The Extra but enjoyed them both a lot.

I loved those books. He also do the Lovecraftian The Color Out of Time.

In Yana, the Touch of Undying had the best ever tagline: "Never sell a brothel to a demon..."
