The Eternal Dawn
question
Does Pike have a ghost writer?

I think Christopher Pike has a ghost writer, or at least that one is being used for some of the new omnibuses coming out. The new additions to The Last Vampire (Thirst) series don't have his voice at all and an author who has traditionally written strong intelligent female characters has suddenly changed his strongest. WTF? It doesn't make any sense. Sita had no fear and was super powerful, but now she's always afraid, obsessed with firearms (remember when her knife was enough?) and always looks to the big strong man for help? Definitely not the kind of book I want to read. This is either a ghost writer's work or Pike has completely sold out. It is almost heartbreaking to see publishers trot this crap out just to compete with Twilight, which is also a misogynistic literary travesty.
Anyone know how to find out about the true author and which books coming out with his name on them truly are Pikes? If any?

I agree. I had to drop the continuation of the series. The original books I loved but Thirst Vol 3 I just could not take. The writing style was different, the characters were WAY different. I tried to let the style go as it has been a long time since the original stories came out and style can change over time. But the character changes were not okay. I could not get into any of them or relate at all.
I agree. The new ones feel OFF. I assumed it was the passage of time
Could it be that the reason why she relies on Matt a little is because she trusts him. Think about it at the beginning Sita had no one by her side she was alone , she didn't have anyone to trust so its only natural that she was this baddass chick who could destroy anything that stands in her way , she didn't have a choice no one was there for her. But now she has someone she knows wont betray her , she is still badass but now she's a badass who doesn't have to do everything by herself because she has someone who is willing to help her. I could be wrong but that's my opinion...I think that was Pike's intention..To show Sita that it's okay to trust and also to make her grow as a person , not a vampire.
I was thinking the same thing. The writing in this book does not sound like Chris at all, and is definitely not like the previous series.
I have all 5 volume I was thinking the same thing. The writing is so different
