LOL, it came out today! My hard cover is going to be on my door step when I get home, and my kindle edition will be loaded on not long after.

I downloaded it earlier this morning. I might wait a few days before starting it just to torture myself ;).

SHIT. I have so many books that I'm backed up on... And I want to re-read TWOK first.

OMG. OK. *breathe* I can do this.

Also, LOL at me.. GR is listing the paper back of this as 600 pages. I saw that and was like.. What??? THAT'S ALL?!?! Luckily it's wrong, Amazon is listing the hard cover at over 1,000 pages as I expected. Just funny that I was actually disappointed for a second thinking it was only 600 pages.

Yeah, ONLY 600 pages would be disappointing!

I have a hard cover on the way - and a digital copy waiting for me on my nook. Trying to finish the book I'm reading now before I start. Been keeping away from all spoilers and I'm looking forward to digging in finally.

I have to admit that I was hoping she'd come back with an apology and the book, that it somehow slipped her mind.

I'm pissed that my book wasn't delivered yesterday. Screw Amazon and it's "Guaranteed" delivery on the day of release. Next time I'm just going to a book store :P

There's definitely something to be said for taking your time. I caught a ton of things in WoR, but only because of the other Cosmere books I've read. Mostly, I feel like a missed a whole lot (at this moment it would probably take me 20 minutes to recount the general plot line of the book, that's how muddled I am).

It's not intentional. And it's more like other people are taking my time. Away from me. Hehe

I think I love Shallan.

Also, these interludes are just messing up the flow.

Yeah, the interludes were tough for me in this one.

I loved them in the first one, but then I wasn't in such a rush to get to the end. In those one, it was hard to slow down for them.

Good. Though it disrupts the pacing a tad. It does fill in gaps, though, so there's that?

Welp. Aside from the interludes, I think this book was better than TWoK.

I wasn't a fan of Shallan in the first book but I'm liking her more in the second. She seems more human.

1st Interludes - (view spoiler)[ I thought I wanted more of the Parshendi but now that I have I'm disappointed. Sanderson tries to give them a 'foreign' feel (not human) but they still feel too human to me... if that makes sense. And I don't know what I think of them being all peaceful and such...

And while the idea of an island on the back of a giant beast is interesting, I can't take it seriously. Maybe because I kept thinking of Pratchett and Discworld while I was reading this chapter?? (hide spoiler)]
