Glad you were successful, Heather!
Hint, if you'd like one, I searched "books" and "room" (separately) on my library's site and found many options that worked. Happy anagramming!

LOL! I actually wrote them out on paper and crossed off letters as I went, which helped tremendously. If you do that, though, I'd take a transparency sheet or something and use a dry erase marker so you didn't have to keep rewriting the quote (that was a pain as I was looking for books...).
Thank you!

Sheila- I looked at the other books in the series and the "CSI Reilly Steel" is in parenthesis for most of them. So I it makes sense to me for you to ignore the "CSI Reilly Steel #5" in this listing. Please be sure to cite this message if the goodreads book page hasn't change when you post.

Claire- You're set for some great fall reading; enjoy!

Yes, you may ignore all punctuation, Deedee. Sorry I didn't see this sooner!

I see that apostrophe's are ok.
nm, I see that has been answered above.

As an academic, I equate fall with fresh new starts and a chance to explore new ideas. Horace Mann (1796-1859) was the founder of my alma mater, Antioch College, and an American education reformer. Mann is responsible for two quotes I annually share with my students. The first quote is from a commencement address he delivered to Antioch graduates: “Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.” The second reflects his passion for educating every child: “A house without books is like a room without windows.”
This is a TWO book task.
Book 1: The entirety of your first book’s title must appear in the first quote. The order of the letters does not matter. Subtitles should be ignored. Letters may be used only as often as they appear in the quote.
Book 1: BE ASHAMED TO DIE UNTIL YOU HAVE WON SOME VICTORY FOR HUMANITY
Book 2: The entirety of your second book’s title must appear in the second quote. The order of the letters does not matter. Subtitles should be ignored. Letters may be used only as often as they appear in the quote.
Book 2: A HOUSE WITHOUT BOOKS IS LIKE A ROOM WITHOUT WINDOWS
REQUIRED: For both books, point out where the letters of your books' titles are located in the quotations.
Example: Book 1 The Strain
BE ASHAMED TO DIE UNTIL YOU HAVE WON SOME VICTORY FOR HUMANITY
T in until, HE in ashamed S in some, TR in victory, AIN in humanity
