NEW HORROR SERIES FROM THE WALKING DEAD CREATOR ROBERT KIRKMAN!
Kyle Barnes has been plagued by demonic possession all his life and now he needs answers. Unfortunately, what he uncovers along the way could bring about the end of life on Earth as we know it.
This was an interesting story with some gore that might make some people squeamish. The story progressed slowly but I can't wait to see how it unfolds.
This prestige hardcover collects the first two arcs of the critically acclaimed and New York Times bestselling series; "Family," which introduces Forever Carlyle and her Family as they are brought to the brink of war in a future of economic collapse; and "Lift," where Forever uncovers a terrorist plot against her Family while another family altogether, the Barrets, take desperate measures to escape their life of poverty.
Although this is another story with some blood and gore, I couldn't put it down!! Kick butt heroine and secrets make this a fun and entertaining read.
This is the world. It is not the one we wanted, but it is the one we deserved. The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse roam the Earth, signaling the End Times for humanity, and our best hope for life, lies in DEATH.
I've read 3 volumes and all I can say is I LOVE IT!! Great fight scenes and interesting characters stay with you after you've read the last chapter.
Butterflies ominously proliferate as children whisper rumors of a mysterious creature lurking in the tunnel behind the school. To appease its wrath, they decide to offer it a sacrifice--a human one. But this is only the beginning of Nijigahara Holograph, which takes place in two separate timelines and involves the suicidal Amahiko; Kohta, the lovestruck bully; their teacher Miss Sakaki, whose heavily bandaged face remains a mystery; and many more brothers, sisters, parents, co-workers, teachers, aggressors, and victims who are all inextricably linked to one another. Ten years later, all will have to face what they've done or suffered through--and maybe the end of the world.
Nijigahara Holograph--complex, challenging, and elliptical--was named one of the most anticipated new manga at Comic-Con International: San Diego. Hailed as a voice of the current generation in Japan, Inio Asano, whose Solanin was nominated for Eisner and Harvey awards (and was made into a feature film), delves into David Lynchian territory with this psychological horror story.
Beautiful, disturbing and dark, Nijigahara Hologram was like nothing I had ever read. I was left in mild shock at the ending and wanted to reread it but, I was too afraid. This is definitely for adults.
