I've been glued to the Taj Trilogy Series! This one is the second of the lot. Beautifully written. The charm of the Mughal history never fails to capture your mind!

This has been a rough reading year for me. I have completed a handful of books but over the last month I have also started and not been able to get through a stack of books. Thankfully it was books that i borrowed through Overdrive. At the moment I am reading
. I have been dragging through it too but I just saw the preview for the movie and it gives me hope that the book will get better

I started reading
a couple of days ago and I am still interested in it however I am getting a
feeling from it and I was very disappointed in the ending of hat book. I really hope that Girl on a Train does turn into that. Without giving anything away did anyone else who read Girl on a Train get that same vibe from it?

Are you the Siri from iphone?

This month itself. Looks like now Amazon has implemented Siri for goodreads. Lol

It's about the Arabian Nights. And it's so good. I hope to finish it soon :)
Just started The Notebook; I just finished
which was the kick off to a Nicholas Sparks marathon I have planned to read. But at this moment I will most likely only read the NS books that were turned into move. I have already seen the moves I want to see how they actually compare to the books. I know the books are always better but I still like to see what kinds of artistic liberties were taken when making the movie.

The Damnation Game - Clive Barker (Have read 95 pages and still waiting for the horrors to start.)
Netaji kahin - Manohar Shyam Joshi (A staire on indian Politicians. Loving it.)
Bhagat Singh ke sampoorn Upanyas - Chaman lal (Collection of documents of Bhagat Singh. Off late i have seen political parties just trying to usurp legacies of these figures. They trying to mould these figures according to their own political views. So i'm trying to read this collection to form a unbiased view as to who was Bhagat singh. Till now i'm surprised. Often we are presented Bhagat Singh as a brave heart often ignoring the intellectual aspects of that amazing personality.
The last two books are in hindi.

Just lumbering through a book, which the TIME opinioned as the best non fiction of the Last century.

It is a high fantasy about a crippled mage travels to meet a powerful healer. When her escorts are killed, she is left with a single sentinel. Together, they must survive demonic creatures, bloodthirsty nomads, and a strange magic never seen before. It was a fairly easy read. If you're into fantasy/romance, I would recommend!

Great, Ginny!! I read A Brief History of Time when I was 14 too! During my 9th grade Summer Holidays.. :) Good luck! It's an amazing book which will change your perspective about Time and Space.. And Atoms too! I remember there is a passage about Higg's Boson too.. Wonderful, right? :)

Goa Galata(गोआ गलाटा)- Surendra Mohan Pathak(सुरेन्द्र मोहन पाठक)
It's a fast paced thriller involving a Jeet singh. It's eighth novel in jeet singh series. The story is fast paced and engaging right now.
Jahaj ka panchhi(जहाज का पंछी) - Illachandra joshi(इल्लाचंद्र जोशी)
Right now i have read just 30 pages and what i have garnered is that the protagonist was a very honest guy and he found out soon that honesty is not the best policy. He faces resistance and backstabbing in any job he takes and finally he's so exasperated that he leaves erything and starts living in Calcutta as a homeless guy. Now he has nothing here. And he sleeps on road side and the story involves how the people often took him for a thief because of his looks(he has not shaved and he's getting thinner as he has no money to feed him). The book is sometimes funny. I'm liking it till now.
Netaji kahin(नेताजी कहिन)- Manohar shyam joshi(मनोहर श्याम जोशी)
It's a satire on philosophy of indian politicians as to why they join politics. It's a collection of satirical pieces in which netaji( who is not a political big wig) tries to become one by anyway possible. Meanwhile, he also gets richer day by day. It's hilarious. Try it if you can understand hindi.
Bhagat Singh ke sampoorn dastavez(भगत सिंह के सम्पूर्ण दस्तावेज़)- Chamanlal
Collection of documents written by Shaheed bhagat singh. We sre often shown Bhagat singh as a guy who was very courageous but he was thinker too. These documents show that.

1. Look Again by Lisa Scottoline : http://amzn.to/1YXBNax
This book portrayed a mother's love regardless of how you became a parent. Not only that, it had you asking yourself, would you, could you, make that call? There is a real emotional pull between doing what is right and NEVER wanting to give away your own child. I think that the way she goes about finding out the truth is a very real look at not wanting to show all your cards until you absolutely have to.
2. 15th Affair by James Patterson : http://amzn.to/1YXCbWk
I love reading James Patterson's book; but I especially love and enjoy the Woman's Murder Club series. A cop, a medical examiner, a reporter and a prosecutor make up the club, and when they get together, look out! This book was special. Can Boxer trust her husband. He was missing for over a week, and Boxer finds out he has lied to her. I don't want to reveal too much, but this book kept me turning pages all day. Yep, I could not stop reading it and read it one day. I highly recommend it.
3. The City of Mirrors: A Novel by Justin Cronin : http://amzn.to/1YXBUmk
Really loved this trilogy - will make an excellent film if they ever get around to making it!!! I only wish I had been able to read these books consecutively without waiting for a few years between each one. It was a little difficult to catch up on things and remember where the story I had left off. Although, I will say this one was easier to jump into than the leap from the first book to the second.
4. The Last Mile (Amos Decker series) by David Baldacci : http://amzn.to/1XvtROM
The Last Mile refers to the last journey a Death Row inmate walks as he or she heads toward his/her execution (even if it is only 30 to 50 yards or so). In this novel, the author begins his story with Melvin Mars, a convicted murderer on the Texas death row, just hours before his execution. Spared by a confession by an individual awaiting execution in Alabama, Melvin's case attracts the attention of Amos Decker, the Memory Man, traveling to his new job with an FBI Task Force?
5. Extreme Prey by John Sandford : http://amzn.to/1YXCdxH
I've read everything this guy has written. Some I like more than others but he has never failed to disappoint me! These books are the reason I think I'd like Minnesota..... I'm especially fond of the books featuring Lucas Davenport. If you are looking for an absorbing read, then look no further. This one is perfect for the plane! I started it on the flight out to NYC and finished it on the return flight home. Enjoy!
