Amanda | 71 comments Hi, a few months ago I had a flashback of a book I read as a teenager, but can't identify the name of the book or author. From what I remember of the plot the book was about people being stuck on a highway, and when they pulled off there were lots of creatures out to get them. I believe that one of the main characters was a woman who had suffered some loss/issue prior to the book plot, and the other main character was a man she met whilst stuck on this highway.

I really hope this is enough to jog someone's memory as it's driving me crazy that I can't identify the book!

Thank you in anticipation

Kate | 3525 comments I think I've read this but for the life of me can't remember the name. The woman's ex-husband had gotten involved in a cult and abducted her son. She went to rescue him, the cult members gave chase and when she escaped she found herself on a deserted highway.
This book has been bugging me for months.

Amanda | 71 comments That does sound very familiar. I think the main thing that I remember it that there were slugs on the side of the road that would burn skin, and lots of other nasties. I've tried searching every to see if something would stick out!
