Bonnie (kentuckybonnie) | 17 comments I'm fairly new to GR and was looking for a mystery group to join - this looked like a good fit! My "can't live without" series is Stephanie Plum by Janet Evanovich for the pure enjoyment of those characters and the belly laughs that come with them, wonderfully wrapped in a mystery. But I also love a wide variety of mysteries - classics like Agatha Christie, cozies, cop stories, procedurals, thrillers, etc... I'm always on the lookout for other comedic mysteries like Lisa Lutz's Spellman series, Lois Greiman's Unzipped series, Toni McGee Causey's Bobbie Faye series and of course most anything by the always crazy Carl Hiaasen. But I enjoy the more serious side of mysteries almost as much... just depends on my mood. I'm hoping to get great recommendations, find new authors to try, and share info.

Welcome Bonnie. Lots of great recommendations here in all the genres of mystery and thriller. In the last few years I enjoyed more international mysteries like the work of Donna Leon, Colin Cotterill, and Martin Walker.

Bill Welcome to the group, Bonnie. I hope you enjoy yourself and get many more recommendations. You might like to try MC Beaton's Agatha Raisin series; it's kind of light.
