Dymphna (sorcha1971) | 37 comments Hello all, I so hope someone will be able to help me find this book. It's written by a woman and it's a true story of a couple who move to France (not 100% sure it's France though) While the man is running an errand, the woman gets a visit from a new neighbour. This neighbour is a prince(?) who lives with his wife ( a professional(?) musician and his mother in a mansion (or a castle?). This prince brings a bottle of wine (champagne?) and they drink this from jam jars, as the woman hasn't yet found glasses. I've read a lot of travel books and so am sorry to be so vague, but these are the only things I remember definitely being from this book. The author includes recipes in the book and I think she gets advice from the prince's mother about the book/recipes.
Thank you for reading :)

How many years ago did you read this book? Was the book in color (w/ glossy pages)?

Dymphna (sorcha1971) | 37 comments My mom give it to me when I was 22, so about 20 years ago. Yes I think there was colour in the book. There may have been a little lavender flower on each new chapter page. I'll go look at the link you posted, thank you :)

Dymphna (sorcha1971) | 37 comments Thank you again for your guess Tab :) Unfortunately this isn't the book, as mine was definitely written by the female author alone. I've been looking at other books by this lady, by they seem to be all cookbooks.
