It was 1845 and the second world war has just ended. The soldiers were going to be coming home today and Caroline was ecstatic.
(1945) (;
I think my character will be named Judy.
This small but proud town all stood waving their flags in the air, awaiting to see their brave soldier appear on the town's boating dock. Judy, a young 20 year old, smiled as tears fell from her eyes. Excitement filled her whole body, she could not wait to see her best friend return from war. As she stood waiting, she noticed the girl beside her.
"Hey your name is Caroline isn't it? I think I've seen you around town." yelled Judy amoungst the crowd's noise

Judy laughed at the crowds excitement.
"Yes ma'am, sadly my names Judy. Never cared for it much,"
A loud ship whistle yelled out alerting the town that their boys were home.
"Here they are, finally. So Carry, who are you waiting for, or are you here just for the excitement?" Judy smiled.

The town scurried over toward the vehicle, pushing the two girls aside.
"Well Carry I hope you find him, he's probably dying to see you as much as you are to see him," she winked as the many soldiers unloaded from the car.

Judy followed.
"I may be waiting for someone..." Her smile faded. "You see, the group my friend was in was ambushed pretty hard, I'm not even sure he made it. So I could just be here waiting for no one."
She smiled, trying to avoid those common, 'i'm sorries,'
"So what does this Thomas look like?"

"HA! Yeah, he may like his kind, but he's still an American. No matter the appearance. And look where 'his kind' got him. Glad that monster is finally dead."
The two finally reached eye view of the boys, though there were still many elbows in the way.

((hmm, I think a friend of Thomas's should. But both Judy's and Caroline's men are dead. One could be missing in action, so he could come in the story later.. But for right now I think they should both not have anyone))
Judy searches for the Thomas figure she has in her mind.
"Do you see him?" looking at Caroline. "Or maybe a close friend of his?"
"Do you see him?" looking at Caroline. "Or maybe a close friend of his?"

"There's Arthur. His brother!!" she pointed to a tall figure with black hair.
"Oh! He's handsome! Well maybe he knows where Thomas is, and maybe my friend too."
The two pushed through to get to Arthur.
((are you Arthur?)) (:

(( yeah that's fine)) (: till tomorrow!
((welcome back! (:))
(shall I be Arthur?)
(shall I be Arthur?)
"Caroline!" Arthur ran to Caroline and tightly hugged her. "Oh my goodness! It's so good to see you!"
Judy smiled at the sight.
Judy smiled at the sight.

His happy smile left him quick, he glanced behind him then back at Caroline.
"Uh, Caroline." He paused "Caroline I am so sorry,"
He began to choke on the sadness stuck in his throat.
Judy came up and put her hands on Caroline's shoulders.

"His name wasn't on the list," she insisted telling herself more than Judy and Arthur.
"He isn't dead though Carry," he added.
"He's missing in action, after on of the battles he got separated from the troops. No one knows where he is,"
"But he could be alive?" Judy asked.
"But he could be alive?" Judy asked.
"Well Mr.Arthur, was there any chance there was a Daniel Baker in your troop? He should be here too." Judy asked nervously.
Arthur once again struggled to tell the truth.
Here stood a soldier and two very scared woman. And as Judy began to cry the cheering from the crowd continued.

"Hey Arthur?" Carry piped up, "Did he ever talk about me?"
((No I just got lost in names haha (: ))
Arthur laughed through his sadness. "Yes he did,"
"He talked about you quiet a lot."
He wiped his eyes.
Suddenly from the crowd ran an elder woman with tears in her eyes yelling, "Oh my boy!" She ran into Arthur's arms and began to cry. The woman was his mother and she had just learned about Thomas's disappearance through another soldier.

Judy continued to cry on the ground near Arthur.
Arthur looked up past his mother's head and looked for Caroline. He knew how much she meant to his brother, and he had the slightest bit of hope that his brother was alive.

A hand touched her shoulder.
"Caroline, I know how much it hurts. But we have to hope he's okay," whispered Arthur.

"Carry. Don't worry about Thomas," he laughed "Thomas is a brave guy, he can make it."
Arthur rubbed Caroline's shoulder.
Arthur rubbed Caroline's shoulder.
Arthur was out of words, instead he leaned over and kissed he cheek.
"Carry, I~I.. I'm sorry." he mumbled "I'm just happy to be home. Please don't think of me badly,"

The two stood hugging in the cool afternoon air. And the time came for Arthur to leave. Slowly he let her go and walked off. An empty town square only now contained bits of streamers and two women.
