And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini
Raid (Unfinished Hero, #3) by Kristen Ashley"

Hi Debbie ~ I have finished Raid (Unfinished Hero, #3) by Kristen Ashley which I really enjoyed with just a couple of glitches. One I wished the book had been longer. Was a short 200pg book which is rare in Kristen Ashley's world. Two I wish she had shown us more of Raid's back story. I kind of felt like maybe this book should have been called Hanna. Third - she repeated things that she has done with other couples with this one. In fact one was almost word for word and from part of this series. Anyhoo - Raid was hot! 3.5♥

I'm still working on And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini

Turtlecollector Dennis Finished my second book Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld and gave it 3♥.

Too much back and forth in time for me.

~Melissa~ | 5253 comments ~Leslie~ wrote: "A short KA book - impossible!!"

Yep - sad but true - I also felt Jagged was too short but could have been because I didn't really relate to either of the MC's - wasn't a favorite of mine. Raid - I liked both MC's but wanted to know more about Raid since it was named after him lol

Karla Finally finished my book for this month, Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout . It took me a bit to read it because the book made me mad almost from the very beginning! I had to keep taking breaks and reading something else. In the end, I liked it. I wish there was a sequel, though, so somethings could be fixed.

Sorry it wasn't particularly good but looking at the bright side: it was a very helpful book and served 3 purposes. 1) it came off your pile; 2) you don't have to worry about continuing the series and; 3) you saved me from having to read it.

It was probably one of the strangest books I've read in a long time and I'm not really sure how to rate it. I liked it for the most part, it was very emotional. But it's been hanging around for a long time, so I'm glad I finally read it. Thanks!!

ilovebakedgoods(Therese) picked for me
The Wedding Officer A Novel of Culinary Seduction by Anthony Capella ✔ – 29April14
4****
This is a delicious novel that begins as a romantic comedy but moves on to give the reader a lesson on the history of Naples in 1944. Capella writes with humor and pathos in describing the war-time experiences of the citizens and soldiers trying to survive not only a war but a volcano’s eruption. I’m glad he included the grittier scenes of chaos and destruction, but where he really excels is in writing about the sights, sounds, smells, textures and tastes of the cuisine, and the effects of those scrumptious meals on the human spirit. I was completely caught up in the story from beginning to end.
