Vernice (fictionfantastic) I'm pretty interested in a variety of hobbies, reading used to be one of my favorites while I was a teenager.
I'm a bit of a snob though and it's been years since I've read anything I absolutely go gaga about.
Unfortunately this snobbishness has been responsible for my diminished zeal for reading, and these days I enjoy a wider variety of interests like TV series (Supernatural and Doctor Who is AMAZING!!!), surfing the internet, writing, knitting (I know, don't judge me) and baking (I suck...).
I hope to recapture my love of literature though, and 2014 is as good a time as any for me to start. I've vowed that I will not be so judgmental anymore and hopefully I will find the next book that will capture my ardour.
P.S, The last books I absolutely devoured was actually a series by Richelle Mead. I think this woman is way under-appreciated. Vampire Academy is my favorite series that she's done, but all of her books are quite amazing...

Welcome to the group! I totally get where you're coming from, the more I read the more picky I get and I can definitely be a book snob :)

Don't you just hate it though... while everyone else is raving about a book, you're just there going "Meh..."
I've had people look at me funny because of that!

I binged viewed the first 5 to 6 seasons of Supernatural the other day. I've seen them before but I missed the show. I hope reading becomes more fun for you.
