Sumaya Musse Hey there! I guess the title explains this post’s subject matter: that I’m wondering what happened to the last book of the Night World series, Strange Fate by L.J. Smith. It has been almost twenty years since the penultimate book of the Night World series has been published. At first, the wait was understandable, since L.J. Smith took a break from writing. But then I recently discovered that L.J. Smith meant for the book to be released by 2014 under Simon and Schuster’s wishes. Now that it’s 2015 and there’s no sign of Strange Fate coming out any time soon, I’m wondering why that is the case. That is why I’m calling all those who are anxious about finishing the series to please spread the word: we need an explanation for Strange Fate! Maybe with enough people, we can finally receive an answer about what is going on. Whether it’s through social media, email, or word of mouth, your contribution is important in order to get us heard! Thank you for reading!

I think she has something about it and the first two chapters posted on her website, I have no idea when we will actually get the book though, I've given up hope to be honest.

Would still want an answer for why it isn't out yet?

I don't think she has an answer. I think she doesn't know how to finish it.

She actually states on Facebook that the book is dependent on Simon and Schuster wanting to publish it. And that she herself was hoping for it to come out in Fall 2014.
