Good lord, $15.00 for a paperback? That's a hard cover price!!

Mass market paperbacks are printed in China with million-book print runs, often with zero environmental laws and child labor, and then shipped back in container ships, so it drives the price down. Indie books are printed locally using local paper and labor (that goes for UK/EU folks, too), so it costs more. Believe it or not, the profit margin for the author is very slim, usually only pennies. The book is 377 pages, pretty thick, so $15.00 is pretty darned near at-cost. Most of that price is the cost of the local printer.
Have you looked at the ebook price? It's only $2.99 and, if you buy it off of Amazon and are a Kindle Unlimited subscriber, you can get it free. And believe it or not, the author makes more money.
It's also available on Scribd and Oyster, if you are a subscriber to either of those.
OK!I absolutely love this read! I haven't been so engrossed since DG's Outlander series and Karen Marie Moning's Fever series. I am already on chapter 23, how does this work? When/where can I discuss without spoiling things for others?
