What is the policy on abbreviated author first or middle names, like "Wm." for William or, in this case, "Mª" for Maria? Do we write them out or keep them abbreviated if they're abbreviated on the cover?

If some covers have the short version and some the long, go with the long. If the author always uses the short version, go with that.
