Pie Pie (appleblueberrycinnamonpie) | 3 comments I'm trying to build a silo replica and I need a general feel for the floors layouts without reading the books again. I know the viewing area was up top, power and maintenance were at the bottom, but the rest gets a bit fuzzy. Storage, classrooms, living areas, food production, IT, and other areas are just kinda 'in the middle' in my memory.

Any pointers? I can keep a list going with help =)

These are the only two images I can find online depicting a much more simplistic silo

Best Guess:

Outside
Viewing area
Dining area
Sheriff and holding cells
IT
living quarters
schools
storage
food production
water production
maintenance
power generators

Pie Pie (appleblueberrycinnamonpie) | 3 comments Armory on the same level as IT... What about medical?

I didn't spend nearly as much attention to physical layout as you did, but a few quick details:

Level 100 is a bazaar. The whole level.

A Nursery level is some ways above IT.

I think the viewing area is in the dining area. There seem to be multiple viewing areas (since it's a closed-circuit TV feed).

Sheriff Holston describes his office as being between the cafeteria and the airlock outside. My impression was the airlock, dining area, viewing area, and Sheriff's office are all on the same level. The Mayor's office is up there somewhere, too, along with other administrators offices I presume.

Just as a general practical observation, the trip up and down is way too long for there to be only one dining level, one living quarters, or even schools. The folks down in maintenance have to eat, and are not going to spend two days walking up to the cafeteria for dinner.

Pie Pie (appleblueberrycinnamonpie) | 3 comments Thanks for the tips! I'm going to stay away from smaller stuff like food/living in maintenance for the sake of my sanity ;)

Re-reading some parts of the books now.. Specifically the trip the Mayor and Deputy made down and then back up.

There were gardens on level 50ish
Farm animals on 90ish
IT in the 30's
Medical in the 20's

There was a lower gardens area below the farm.

Still researching other stuffs.
