Ally In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.

September's Book of the Month! Sorry for getting this up late. Just please remember, hide any spoilers! I know a lot of you have already read this, but I'm looking forward to diving into it for the first time. :)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) I loooooove this book! I first read it with my dad when I was little, so there were only a few parts that I remembered (which happened to be the parts that I would have considered the scariest when I was younger). XD My favorite dwarf is Balin...

Rebecca Ah, yes. The beautiful, lovely Hobbit book that made me fall in love with Middle Earth :)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) Oh, definitely. ;)

Ally I've read the first 30 pages or so and I'm really loving it! The writing style is wonderful. It's the kind I wish I would have appreciated more as a kid.

I just love Bilbo. He's so "against" adventure and offended at these dwarves but of course he has to defend his pride. :)

C.B. Cook (cbcook) :D Bilbo is so sweet!!!
