Addy | 5111 comments Ok. So this will be an ongoing thread for laymon reads. First on the list is The Midnight Tour. I know this is in the middle of the series but that's just how it's turned out. Anyone is welcome to join us. So far it's myself, Terry and Adamus.

message 3: by Vicki Willis (new)

Vicki Willis Yay! I just finished it. Will join in when you start the last one.

Addy | 5111 comments Glad to have yah!

Addy | 5111 comments So I think I'll prob read 3 chaps a day. Is that alright or do we wanna read at your own pace? Doesn't matter to me either way, but I think that's all I can manage.

message 6: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments I'm good with 3 chapters a day. Probably as much as I can manage too.

Addy | 5111 comments Cool. How bout you Adamus?

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I'm fine with that it works for me

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I ordered Blood Games & Friday Night at the Beast House & just waiting for those to arrive & I just got Resurrection Dreams today also

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I'm going to start tomorrow morning/afternoon with the first 3 Chapters

message 11: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments Resurrection Dreams was awesome! There's actually quite a bit of humor, which I thought added nicely to the book.

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Yea I can't wait to finish it I got to Chapter 7 & was thinking of if you read it & maybe do it as a buddy read but I can just finish it on my own time. I am still waiting for Blood Games to come in & I ordered Friday Night at the Beast House & it comes with a bonus novella The Wilds which is suppose to be really good & I ordered Ryan C. Thomas's The Summer I Died I have been wanting to read that book for a long time & have been looking for it in stores & all the stores that were suppose to get it still haven't gotten it so I ordered it :)

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I just finished Chapter 3 too in The Midnight Tour (view spoiler)

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Yea I have Body Rides & heard good reviews about it just haven't read it yet. Maybe we can do that one at sometime Addy if you want at some point

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments If you like Body Rides I would definitely recommend reading more Laymon Sonya

message 18: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments I've haven't read Body Rides, so I would do that one. You have to read The Summer I Died! It is one of the best books I've read. The sequel is just as good. I'm waiting for the third one to come out. Can't wait to see what u think!

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Yea a lot of people told me it's definitely one of the best books they ever read. It's one of the only books I seen everybody give it 5 stars & said it deserves 6 & yea the saga sounds like a good one. Some people said the second was isn't as good, but I'll make my own mind up on it lol you know everybody is different so I think I'll enjoy it

message 20: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments Yes, I really enjoyed it! Just finished ch 3. Looks like a lot of different stories coming together.

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Yea it does it sounds like it's gonna have a lot of different problems lol I can't wait to hear about the Beast House now & how everything is what happened to The Kutch house & how everything fell threw from the 2nd to 3rd book

message 22: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments (view spoiler)

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Hahaha lmfao!!! I was thinking the same thing LOL

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Resurrection Dreams seems like a good book too. I knew it was going to be somewhat funny just because the kid who was a nerd was named Melvin lol that seems like the normal nerd name lol (view spoiler)

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Hey Addy you live in Ohio rite?

message 26: by sonya (new) - added it

sonya marie madden | 926 comments I'm in

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Nice!! He's definitely 1 of my favorite writers. Him & Jack Ketchum got me into the whole Splatterpunk sub genre

I read this years ago but clearly remember how much I loved to hate Monica.

message 30: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments Up thru ch3 also (view spoiler)

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I keep wondering that too (view spoiler)

message 32: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments (view spoiler)

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Omg yea that would be intense definitely would be in top news for months lol but then again I feel like the Goverment would cover it up pull some Area 51 stuff & hide it away. They would feel like it's too much of a threat & try to hide it from the public. Specially with making a wax house museum like that I think people would get it shut down quick

message 34: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments You may be right, sounds like a Men in Black movie - the real story would be in the tabloid magazines!

message 35: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments My phone died and didn't have a charger. Yes, I live in Ohio. Gotta catch up on reading your spoilers!

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I mean that would be cool if something like that did happen & some crazy thing like that was real, but I wouldn't want to bump into a situation like that lol

message 37: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments Does me living in Ohio have anything to do with aliens?....lol.

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Lmao no actually I was gonna ask how it is out there like job wise & living wise LOL I might move there in a few months so I figured I'd asked someone that lives there, but now I know you got aliens in your backyard I might have 2nd thoughts lol

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Where the hell did aliens come from anyways? Lol was there sightings or something?

message 40: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments Yeah. I live near wright Patterson AFB in Dayton and that is where Hangar 18 is. Apparently there is some top secret alien warehouse, where they sent the aliens to experiment and study on them. Not sure how true it all is but if u google it, there are a lot of theories. So where in Ohio are u looking at?

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Well I seen a few places in Dayton some in Columbus, Akron, Canton just trying to find the best spot rite now & that's pretty cool I would love to have something like that in my city lol the most popular thing that happened here is the Newtown shooting smh

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments I definitely would try & go there lol see some aliens that would be awesome

message 43: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments Oh wow. Yeah, that was pretty sad:( Dayton is pretty much a dead city. They are trying to rebuild, but that could take years. A lot of houses for sale and rent. I would recommend Cincinnati or Columbus. My sister lived in Columbus and it's a really nice city. Lots more going on and things to do. I would like to move out of Dayton eventually and go to a bigger city.

Adamus (Like Adonis, but with a M) | 806 comments Yea I have seen some really nice places in Columbus & Cincinnati I was checking them out also, but I know what you mean with the big city. I lived in NY for almost 2 years & it was pretty fun but after a while things start to get to you. Where I live isn't bad it's just kinda expensive living costs, but jobs pay well I've just been here all my life & I want to go somewhere else

message 45: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments Best of luck to yah! I've been here for 8 years and I really like Ohio:)

message 46: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments I've done work all around the Midwest, but not in Ohio or CT. Good luck on your move, Adamus. On a different note, I went to 4 different used bookstores today, and didn't find any of the books from our upcoming reading list except Son of Rosemary. Guess it's Amazon for the rest!

message 47: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments I guess CT isn't the Midwest, but I've not done work there either...

message 48: by Terry (new)

Terry | 5364 comments I did pick up copies of The Troop by Cutter, and The Rising by Brian Keene. Anybody read anything by Keene? The Rising would be my first.

message 49: by sonya (new) - added it

sonya marie madden | 926 comments Adamus the newtown thing was just tragic. I live in ct

message 50: by Addy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Addy | 5111 comments I have read Keene. I've read one about a satyr that was really good and have a lot of his books except that one. Anyone read Bryan smith? He's good too. House of blood and the Depraved series I would recommend.
