Daisy's "condition"

I just finished reading In the Unlikely Event. I've been a fan of Judy Blume for decades. however, this book, was tedious and a lot of my questions weren't answered. Like, for instance, what exactly was Daisy's "condition"?

Sounds like Mayer Rokitansky Kuster Hauser Syndrome. I'm not sure I understand the significance of Daisy having it, but I think the author is trying to set her up as different. Christina, Polina, Rusty... all wrestle with their sexuality at times. I kind of suspect that's alluded to also with Fern talking about the rabbit's penis all the time. Maybe it's to show Daisy how has a different perspective.

I agree with you Athena. I found it very tedious to get through and yes a lot of questions not answered.

I enjoyed to book, but I found that it had some little details that didn't add to the story, like Daisy's condition. I don't see the significance of it, if that little detail about Daisy would have been left out of the book the story would not have changed.

It never occurred to me that she had a physical condition. I just thought she was incredibly self-centered and found it much easier to be unattached.

It could be a condition called Vaginatious(sic, probably) which makes sex v.painful(that's why she was embarrassed to say the name of it;who can blame her?)
