Outside, Kahea watched three medium to large sized wolves approach and kind of surround brian. "How did you meet the princess?" one growled at Brian

"I found her wounded out side my house" Brian barked the answer with out a second thought

"You should have left her for my pack to find her," growled the second wolf. "What's your last name?"

"Miller why is that important?" He asked tilting his head

A huff sounded from the second wolf's snout, and he studied Brian with cruel, cold eyes. "Your mother's maiden?" He demanded, not answering Brian's own question.

"Litch, and my grandmothers if Wolffang, if that will quell you game of 20 questions" Brian barked

Low growls rumbled from the throats of the three wolves. "You don't belong here," the third one warned, his eyes baring into Brian.

"I'm a lone wolf I go where I please, and that so happens to be joining this pack by winning these trials" Brian said not even intimidated by them

"You reek of human blood," one growled after a short pause. "You are not purebred. You do not belong."

"Yes I'm not pure blood, it's not like it was my choice in that" Brian said

"Of course it wasn't your choice, the elders chose to evict your grandmother. You are unclean," growled the third wolf, taking two steps closer to Brian.

Brian draw a line on the ground with his paw " I would you not cross that line" he said this time his voice had a hint of venom to it

The wolf stepped closer, though not yet to the line. The other two drew nearer as well, a low growl rippling from the first's throat. "We will do as we please, trash."

"I'm not saying you can't I'm just giving you fair warning " he said

A cackle sounded from one of their snouts. "Or you'll do what? Whine for your precious princess?" he mocked.

Kahea pressed her face closer to the window, now worried with Brian's posture. Did he feel threatened? She couldn't shift; couldn't break the glass and help him. She was helpless.

"No I was thinking I could make some nice fur throw rugs for the castle halls from your hides." He said cracking his neck "or I could bring you to bob barker, he is nuder happy" he said

"That's a stupid joke. You're a kid with no experience. One kid against three grown wolves. Think you actually stand a chance?" The wolf bared his teeth, now stepping onto the line.
