Holy Spackle, Batman! We have three of POV. The Spackle language is hard to understand.
Who do we want to win this war or is peace possible?
The Spackle, who have been tortured, enslaved and murdered.
The Ask, who is led by a sadistic dictator.
The Answer, who has an equally crazy leader who was willing to sacrifice/kill Voila to further her cause. Too bad it didn't work!
I don't know what to think. How about Todd and Voila ride off into the sunset or maybe co-lead this settlement and broker a peace treaty?

Where are you, Sheri?
I don't really like the Spackle POV thrown into the mix. While I may get why the author would add it, I find it hard to follow/understand.

The mayor is really good at mind control and now he is influencing Todd. The mayor has put something in those bands to disable or kill the woman who have received them. That's one way of getting rid of the woman. Not really sure why he wants to do that since without women to have children there is no future.

LOL! Loved that part :)"
I'm torn. On one hand I'm happy but on the other hand what are they going to do to him.

Sorry, I didn't know you started a new thread! I don't like it either. I find myself skimming these parts.

Almost finished. I don't trust the mayor...ever.

I'm sorry. I should have posted the link in the old thread.

This is a trilogy right? Does anyone else feel that the ending to this book could lead to another one?
Leigh, did you have the short story called snowscape at the end of your book/audio?

I was actually sort of kind of almost beginning to think that we could like the mayor. Todd seem to have a positive effect on him. Of course, I knew it had to be too good to be true, lol.
The only thing I really, really didn't like, and I mentioned this before I think, was the constant point of view change. It was too much. I kind of sorta get why the author did it, but I just think it was excessive and hard to follow.

I kind of wanted a little more. Not sure if it did. I stopped the audio at the end of the book. I will have to check.

The onl..."
Totally agree with you on both points. The mayor was one twisted man. Was he always like that or did the noise create the monster?

I think someone that twisted up has to be born that way. The Noise probably contributed...pushed him over the edge maybe.
