Another great series and certainly set in a different era than most.

I would like to suggest the Saxon series by Bernard Cronwell.

I read the first two or three books in this series, then somehow moved to something else [a real surprise, eh?] and would like to get back and finish the series. I own six or eight of them in paperback already....

I loved the books I've read in this series! Hate the narration for the first one though and the second one wasn't much better but some improvement over the first. The third (and third narrator) hit it out of the park in my mind. I still have 4 and 5 to read.
