There are definitely some films I would watch because of the director but grading them I don't know.
Definitely Ridley Scott, Tim Burton, either of the McDonaghs, Guy Richie and Spielberg

I would've counted Spielberg, but for some reason I'm not as fond of him as I used to be. Still, I will always love E.T. and Jurassic Park, and the Goonies is a gem <3

Goonies and Indiana Jones are worth a vote for him alone

Ty Wilson (ShatterStar66) | 81 comments Choosing a top 5 is pretty tough, but in no particular order:
Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott, David Fincher, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino.
It's tempting to put Peter Jackson on for his Tolkien stuff as well as The Frighteners, and James Cameron can almost make my list just because of Terminators 1 and 2.

I've been trying to forget about Alien 3 for many, many years.

Hey! I actually quite liked alien three. But I also love terrible movies. But only when they aren't trying to be bad movies. Like the Sharknado type movies that are purposely trying to be bad and trying to hard. They are good for some yucks but just not the same.

The 80s and 90s seemed to be much better at making awesome shitty movies accidently.

One of the best bad movies was the street fighter movie with JCVD. so awesome. Also most movies involving Schwarzenegger (not including terminator, and Conan)

I dont know that I can pick out five that I love. I know that I will watch anything by Guillermo Del Toro and avoid Quentin Tarantino by all means posible. I also love what Christopher Nolan did with Batman.
