Doe anyone know what happened to Zeke, one of the four moderators? He seems to have removed himself from the group.

He PM'd me to say that he was leaving Goodreads, not because of any dissatisfaction with this group, in fact it was of great value to him, but because of life priorities.

It's an extended Interim read starting next Wednesday. As with all Interim reads, it's not announced in advance in order not to interfere with the final days of the Vicar, but everything to be read will be online, and most of it probably fairly quickly available at your library.
It's going to be worth keeping an eye out for!
What is that future? Well, after Faust we'll have our usual two week interim read, then move on to The Vicar of Wakefield.
The moderators looked ahead and realized that if we proceeded normally after the Vicar, we would be doing Lucretius over the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday period, which we thought wouldn't be the best time for a serious discussion of a serious work. So the plan is this.
We'll take five weeks for the Vicar. That will take us into early November. Then we'll do a sort of extended Interim Read work or series of short works, something well worth reading and discussing but not too "heavy," and a work readily available on the Internet. We have several ideas for this, but haven't settled on anything definite yet.
We'll then begin Lucretius on January 5th, when everybody is recovered from the holidays and ready to get back to some serious reading and discussion.
