I'll join you. There are many great reviews on this one, and I am always up to read a good debut by a new author.

Oh YAY!!!!
I set up a BR thread here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
When do you want to start?

Not a problem, Sweety. When you are ready to do the buddy read, just let me know. I can set up a BR thread for you or I can send you the instructions through a PM.
SWEETY wrote: "Anyone want to buddy read Wed By Proxy by Alice coldbreath ? I don’t know set up a buddy thread though 😮"
Hi Sweety, I would like to read the author sometime but I know I can’t commit to anything that isn’t in audio for a buddy read. I simply am reading too slow.

Hello readers,
One of the BOTMs did not fit the “virgin hero” theme, so I am posting here to see if there is interest in reading one of the other options as a buddy read. Two options maybe Virtuous Scoundrel or Libby's London Merchant but feel free to make your own suggestions. Is anyone interested in buddy reading one?

I'm going to be reading Always a Scoundrel by Suzanne Enoch sometime in the coming week as a part of one of the challenges for the year. Just wanted to see if anyone also has this book in their TBR (forever, like I did) and would like a buddy read for the same.

Awesome! Lemme message you :)

I read the novella and I want to start the series soon

I've read this multiple times, but I'm down for a reread.

Everyone welcome!

Yay! Welcome. We are going to start as soon as I can get a copy from my library - hopefully next week.
Hi all!
Mamacita and I are planning to read The Making of a Duchess, which is the first in the Sons of the Revolution series by Shana Galen. The second is one of the April BOTM. I believe we’re starting today/tomorrow.

I have read Sharon Kay Penman HF trilogy (years before getting on GR) where Henry is a key character.
I have checked Hoopa and Overdrive collections for 4 public library systems in my region—this book isn’t available.
I’m willing to buy the book, but maybe one or some of you already own it? My town library doesn’t have a dead tree edition either.
Any takers?

Hi Andrea, that sounds good, I am interested. I have been in the mood for a medieval recently.

Great! Good news!
I’m not sure what this book is about if it’s written from the French or England perspective (despite going on about king Henry).

I might join in also. Been meaning to pick up another Candice Proctor book for a while. I have only read Night in Eden a few years back and enjoyed her writing. Medieval is not really a favourite era of mine, but I guess I'm in the mood for something a bit different. When are you both planning to start?

How about a Friday/Saturday start? I have another book I’m trying to complete and I’m off work on Friday, so I propose a Friday/Saturday start. If this doesn’t work for either of you, we can choose another day/date.
I have Night in Eden on my tbr pile. Did either of you know that Candice Proctor is HR author Penelope Williamson’s sister? I haven’t read anything from either of them.

The buddy read will actually take place in another GR group called Bodice Ripper Readers Anonymous, if anybody would like to join us.

when are you starting? You can get the audio for 3.50 with the kindle purchase. A real bargain since the audio itself is like 32.00. I'm intrigued because this is the era when I really enjoyed romance so I think I'm going to give it a try.

The Buddy read, as Missy said, is taking place in the Bodice Ripper group.
I asked Missy to Buddy read an old vintage HR with me (not bodice ripper, despite conducting buddy read in BRRA group) over there.
I had a specific reason why I wanted to buddy read old vintage (non bodice ripper) with Missy in that space.
Please join us.

I'm already there.... so glad you put up this invite. I've read the first chapter and WOW wow wow! I need more hours in the day

Sorry forgot to add it in the first place."
I own and enjoyed book 1. I'll reread it with you and maybe continue the series.
So, because of the BOTM 1 of September The Devil Is a Marquess I'm reading the all serie first:
#0.5 Ever Yours, Annabelle
#1 The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne
#2 The Truth About Cads and Dukes
#3 Desperately Seeking a Scoundrel
#4 The Devil Is a Marquess
And so on. ..
Does someone is doing the same? And want to do a Buddy Read? I'm currently reading the #0.5

I read this when it came it so won't join you on this one. Hope you enjoy.
I was a little lukewarm about it, TTYTT, although many loved it. I feel the writer has potential, but the book seemed a bit 'under-edited' to me, as if it was rushed out. There was a lot of fanfare when it was released, but it needed tightening up IMO, and the anachronistic terms annoyed me. I'm hoping the next book will be tighter.
BTW it's still full price on kindle Australia.
