Lee Brait | 5 comments Hi Everyone, I just released the new version of my pre-apocalyptic short story (8000 words). It's about a regular guy who's work day goes from dreary to, well, pre-apocalyptic. Maybe you've had days like this?
No zombies or extreme Sci Fi in this one. It's a glimpse of what's coming in my main character's world, and possibly ours.

I'd really appreciate your feedback on it (suggestions for improvement too please) and I'm happy to swap feedback and reviews of other short stories.

Thanks!

Here's the blurb:
The war on terror has escalated to a nihilistic brawl for oil. Brutal and incessant gang violence now rules the headlines. Is it a forecast for the end of justice and consequence?

For Linc Freemore, another drudge at the office, another broken promise looms. He stumbles on a savage crime, half-done. Unarmed. Deserted. In a tranquil wood, the kind of place he longs for time with his family. Today filled with violence and despair. Should he bolt for safety? Or viciously defend, his own brand of justice?

Linc discovers how deep he's willing to dig for a stranger. How far he's willing to blur the lines. Picnic (A Linc Freemore Apocalyptic Science Fiction Short Story) by Lee Brait
