Any similar books -- regular world, character with 'special ability'?

Crumb I loved "Slide" and "Impostor" because they were realistic (normal everyday settings), but Vee had that cool "power", making her ability to solve things far more interesting. It had a slight paranormal twist with her sliding ability, but it didn't involve fantasy elements like wizards, warlocks, dragons, sorcery, demons, magic, angels, etc (I'm not into that stuff, at all)

Can anyone name other books like this? Where the character has some sort of 'power' that aids them with a mystery, but it's otherwise a normal world with normal people?

Books like this I've read:
Slide and its sequel Imposter
Clarity and its sequel Perception

If you know any others, please let me know!

Delynne89 Wake fade series by Lisa McMann
Touched by Cyn Balog
Crash series by Lisa McMann (Lisa McMann is the person to check out if you liked this kind of book)
The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson could maybe fit this description
Ultraviolet by R.J. Anderson
Im sure I've read more but that's all I can think of
This is a very interesting topic because personally I love books like this
:)

Crumb Thanks Delynne89 for the suggestions! I am very hesitant about trying anything else from Lisa McMann because I did not like "Wake" at all when I read it last year, but maybe I'll give her another shot! I'll look into your other suggestions as well!

Thanks Rachel, both of those sound cool and will look into them :)
