A Good Thriller discussion

They are only 15 and 14 and they still live at home. They know its much easier to just buy me something I want, just so that I can't guilt trip them with a "nobody loves me on mothers day" face all day.

That'll be it. Mine a very grown up and can't see my face so they don't care how it looks!

It is weird, as I have gotten books from the UK in like a week or 10 days before. I am not using that bookseller (was used thru Amazon) anymore.

Also a great site is thriftbooks.com. Typically, the price of the book includes the shipping as well. They also offer discounts for purchasing from the same seller.

Pat & Sandy. I just compared a list of books I was going to order from Amazon, available only through The Book Depository, and the shipping costs are another $6.48 on top of each book. Turned out if I ordered through Amazon, my items were $26 with $25 shipping and handling. I then went into the direct site for The Book Depository, as I am interested in a lot of the books from UK. The direct site for The Book Depository has NO shipping costs world wide. When I compared the price for the same items in Amazon, The Book Depository was $8 cheaper, and is sent in 2 days. I went ahead and ordered 5 books. I have bought:

The only expensive item was I Let You Go but I really want to read this one.

Thanks Pat, Sue, and Autumn for the book sources! I do get email from BookBub which tests my self-control sometimes. I usually use my library, but if they don't have a book, it's nice to have alternatives.

I also use BookBub (reduced prices or free) and Story Cartel (free) but am selective what I choose.

Just bought Kevin O'Brien's Tell Me You're Sorry. $2.99 on BookBub for kindle version. Never read him before and I guess he has a bunch of excellent stand alone thrillers. Eager to read it. Anyone here a Kevin O'Brien fan and have one to recommend? My library only has a few of his titles.
