Dipanjan | 314 comments @ Ter'e - You say BANG one more time and I'm gonna have to really stop my brain from going places.

Lets put together "A Bang List". It's the list of books that REALLY go Bang. (What were you thinking?)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Bang! Bang! Bang!!!!
Just ordered David Wiltse "Heartland" by David Wiltse. Mentioning The Serpent.....made me think how much I enjoy David Wiltse. So peeked at his books and realized I NEED Heartland. Bought it for a penny on Amazon.

Am NOT going to the 25% off book sale at Goodwill Books. I cannot be trusted. 3 more magazines arrived!!!!! I am covered up in reading material!

Gorgeous blue skies today. Think we are going to take the dogs out to Anna Maria Island. Honey is home for the day........so it is a play day. I will get nothing accomplished but play time. :-)

message 114: by S.K. (new)

S.K. Munt (wordwhisperer) I have the 2nd two books of the Lunar Chronicles on my nightstand but am only partially into one and have been for about a month, 4 books on my Kindle which I haven't even looked at, and Allegiant on Audio which I have not had a chance to listen to! It sucks but I'm on full-blown writing mode caught between two publications dates (One 2 weeks ago, one 2 weeks from now!) and though it is awesome reading weather, I need to type on.

There is literally a cyclone above my head right now wreaking havoc over the Whitsunday's. I should be in bed snuggled up with a book but I type on! Sigh.

Thomas E Montgomery (thomasemont) | 27 comments We have a unique opportunity to help new authors break in to the writing/publishing industry. If we each took a chance and bought one new first book a month, It might jump start a career. Some great books are out there, undiscovered, for very cheap price.

Speaking of unique:
You know how to catch a unique rabbit?
Unique up on it.

You know how to catch a tame rabbit?
Tame way. Unique up on it.

I agree Thomas.

I hope we are doing our bit here on this group for new authors.

I admit to buying lots of new books, new authors all the time.

Tom Bale is an example of this a new British author with only three books, but I am really enjoying the book already (The Catch). Now a member here as well.

This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This. This.This. This. This. This.This.This. This. This. This.

as a new author i know, and share that with other fellow new authors, how desperately hard it is to breathe the same oxygen that all known authors breathe...and any miniscule tilting of the scales will help.

stay with the books, Te're, even if you find the first few ones OK-ish.

the books pick up steam from about Voodoo River and then L.A. Requiem, Last Detective, Forgotten Man, Watchman, First Rule and Taken are just fire.

like every author, not every book of his at the same high level obviously.

a couple of stand alones of his, Two Minute Rule, and Suspect are good too.
