Saw by Terry Hayes on sale at Amazon (Kindle) for $2.99. Not familiar with this author but the reviews were good so I picked it up.

Even though the author gifted me a copy of this book, I also bought a copy since it was on special for $.99

I bought this is paperback. I've wanted to read this for a while, and excited that it should be here tomorrow.

Just ordered "Think of a Number" by John Verdon. Just what I need!!!!! LOL. One more book. This looks like a great read.

I only bought one indie book, and that was 'The Clown: Short Stories' by a fairly unknown author named Luca Ferrarrini. It was offered up for free, but after I read it (only twenty pages, so it was a quick read), I felt the author deserved more than the 99 cents he charged for it.


I finally found a copy of Phillip K. Dick's 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' at my local Giant Tiger of all places.


I also bought 'Neuromancer' by William Gibson--a novel I've been wanting to read for a long time. Excited to read it now that I finally have it.


Included on this list is 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley. I don't know much about it but I see it referenced quite frequently when people describe the direction our world is going in terms of freedom and security.


Last but not least is 'H.P. Lovecraft: The Complete Collection With Accompanying Facts', which I'm very much looking forward to reading. It was up for an unbelievable 99 cents, too! What a find!


Got all of these on my phone, too. And to think, I hated the idea of having an Android once upon a time.

I hope to get through most or if not all of them by end of weekend. I love getting up super super early on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and making coffee and reading while the rest of the house (and the world outside) still sleeps. Its me time then. My family also knows that when I have my nose stuck inside a book not to disturb me. I guess my eyes will be a bit strained by Monday.

Do get new books, all the time.

Same here, Sean. I'm always forgetting to list my new purchases. One I did download yesterday was The Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg. A series I've not started yet!

I have so many new books on my Kindle........ It's like a feast of books. Since I only read at bedtime......it takes me awhile to get thru a book. But, gosh, I sure have some doozies to read and most are new authors to me. So exciting.

I positively love BookBub.

I find Kindle's great for downloading a sample to read and see if I'm tempted but once I've decided, I've come to realise that I prefer to hold a real book. The whole reading experience is so much more satisfying!

Do we have any Kyle Mills fans here??? I have decided that my next book will be "Rising Phoenix" by K.M. I just need to give this author a try, even tho the reviews are pretty low for this book. A seductive action novel.......just what I need.

I recently bought There Is a Tribe of Kids by Lane Smith for my niece.

I saw it at my local library and loved it. It features all those collective nouns for animals. Like a parade of elephants and a smack of jellyfish!

I read by James A. Michener decades ago. The hardback. Today I saw it on sale on Amazon (Kindle) for $1.99 and couldn't pass it up.

Side note: For a while I lived in Doylestown, PA ... home of Michener. My brother told me he once had Michener for a substitute teacher.
