I remembered your review, Brenda, and looked it up again. I see you've read his previous works too which made up my mind. I got turned down on Netgalley for this one so was really pleased to get it how I did.

Orphan X by Gregg Hurwitz will be my next read. Looks great and I hear it will keep me on my toes. Oh boy - another reason to nor sleep at night.

I went to the bookstore :D Got me two Guillaume Musso's books, "Parce que je t'aime" I started this one on my tablet and loved what I ve read, and "Central Park", I didn't plan to pick this one, but sometimes you see the cover, then read the synopsis, then open your wallet to see if you have enough money :)

Orenda Books out of the UK is having an online 99p ebook sale (for 1 more day, I think) so I went on there & got these 3 for less than $5. Score!

Rhonda: Good idea. I have read quite a few of his books and enjoyed them. I also want to read Broken Promise. Did you know this was a trilogy? Broken Promise is the first then Far From True and The Twenty Three.

Yes Rhonda.....I did know that. I have learned from Christine.....(who I love to pieces) taught me to read everything in order!!!! LOL.

I probably have 10 of Linwood's books. Have not read any......but think I will really enjoy.

Right now, I am devouring Karin Slaughters latest book on Will Trent. I am loving it. Thanks for the heads up!!

Well, I tried to read Linwood Barclay's Broken Promise. It was a slow beginning --- but once we got to the 23 dead squirrels ---- I knew this book was not for me. I am used to a book moving along - you know, kidnappings, blood, guts, guns.......you know.....THRILLERS!!!!
Broken Promise will find a new home.
I started reading Orphan X!!!!!! YES! YES! YES!! Love it.

I went to the bookstore , or the candy shop as I see it :) , I bought "seras-tu là (Will You Be There) by Guillaume Musso, an amazing writer that I am discovering this year, he has the talent of combining thriller and drama. the bookbis about a man who has the opportunity to travel to the pastand meet himself wen he was young in order to cgnge the past and save the woman he loved from death. Almost finished with Orphan X. Gosh, what a terrific, fast paced book. Twists and turns galone and some tenderness as well. Found me a new author, with this one!!!! Melissa - loving this book!!!!

lol yep I m proud of myself, I tried Guillaume Musso and Dan Brown this year, really good authors.

I think I have only read one King book but I bought the Green Mile the other day and am looking for a used copy of Misery which seems hard to find.

Went on a bit of buying binge this week. Saw some specials on Amazon (Kindle) and bought books that I may have borrowed / read from my local library or have in another format (hardback, paperback) in a box somewhere. So much more convenient to have them at my fingertips on Kindle when I want to read or reread.

Just bought Nomad by James Swallow. I adored I Am Pilgrim and tried for months to find something as good as it but with no success. Apparently Nomad is quite similar in style and quality, hopefully I'll be amazed by it. Can't wait to start it
