Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments I'm on a roll. Also just bought Elizabeth Haynes "Into The Darkest Corner" -I believe that is correct.
UH OH!!!!! Think I just did a no-no. I wasn't sure what I was doing........and I imprinted a copy of this onto my ipad. Dang!!!! I don't know what that means, exactly, but I want to delete it and have no clue how to do that. I was reading a review of it and this "imprint" showed itself. GRRRRR I am slapping my own hand. Right after that, I went to Amazon and ordered the paperback.

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Thx Ty. Correcto-mundo! the book is standing on my nightstand and I just gave it a quick peek. You have the correct title.

I am enjoying the book......find myself thinking exactly as Elvis does. Loving the book. Can't wait to stash back all the books and read from the beginning.

The other book I have is "The First Rule". Better check my box under the
bed and see if any copies are in there. I know I have The Watchman somewhere....... Thx Ty

Lorrea - WhatChaReadin'? (whatchatreadin) So here's what I'm getting from the library. Have to look a few of these up. Some may be given away, so let me know if you're interested in any.

Russell Simmons, Def Poetry Jam on Broadway
Nene Leakes, Never Make the Same Mistake Twice
Eric Jerome Dickey, Between Lovers
Sharon Mitchell, Near Perfect
Barry Lee Pearson, Jook Right On
Angie Daniels, Trouble Loves Company

Suggest reading Last Detective, then Watchman and then a First Rule.

Will give an overarching narrative.

All three are good.

Sean here....

Your new Robert Crais fan...

Your new Brian Freeman fan..

I have ordered 4 Linda Castillo books from Amazon, all for less than £1.50. Linda Castillo's Sworn to Silence is my July book read, and hearing good things about her books.

I guess another author I will enjoy...

Ty, have you read Brian Freeman?

What I've been saying all along! I like Reacher books but he's kinda one dimensional and full of himself, once you read Cole and Pike. Especially Pike.

message 314: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments I have no affiliation.......but I am sharing something.
There is a seller on ebay.........SCFLAME........who is selling books that we all LOVE.........for $1 each. Shipping starts out at $3.50 for one book and .50 add'l for each added book.
I just bought 7 books. This sure works out to be cheaper than Amazons penny books.
Just saying..............what a terrific concept.

message 315: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Is the Author, Barry Eisler, well known to any of you??? His books look so awesome.

message 316: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh i need to stop buying books for a while, and read what i already have,at least i will try :p

message 317: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Oh Aymen........the thrill is in the hunt. Just a few minutes ago, I was looking at all my new delicious books. This is way better than gifts during Christmas.
You notice, I did not say it was better than diamonds tho. LOL. My diamond days are over.........but I still love to look and lust. Now, I lust after my books. (And my honey, of course)

message 318: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh Ter'e i just LOVE book shopping, i feel like a kid in the toy shop :D i love walking in the book store looking for good books, i spend a lot of time to choose, sometimes i change my mind in the last minute and i pick books that i never heard of because they look amazing. Books are the only thing i love buying, besides Sneakers ;)

message 319: by Ter'e (new)

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments I LOVE books.......but I love buying them at a discount most of all. Like you....I carry them.....fondle them.......really think about them.........and know they are some of my prized possessions. Reading and hooking are, by far, my two fav things to do.
My husband does not read "books" at all............I don't know how he has gotten thru life without having this love.

message 320: by Aymen (new)

Sandysbookaday (taking a midwinter break) (sandyj21) | 5101 comments Books, chocolate and good wine (or on a hot day a nice cold beer)!
I have more books than i probably will ever be able to read. Have resisted buying a Kindle but may have to succumb. My husband nearly had a heart attack when we moved house recently and threatened to dispose of some of my books - I similarly threatened his TV remote.
I don't know what you people have in your linen cupboard - but mine was full of books (I ran out of bookcases). The new house has a 3 room cottage which I have claimed as my sanctuary and it is full of my books and my exercise equipment. No prizes for guessing which gets most use.
Happy reading! 8)

Yes this is the issue I have with Robert Crais. Apparently he doesn't want to sell the movie rights of his Cole and Pike books.

If there was a movie made of Joe Pike it would make the series much more popular.

Lee Child sold 10 million MORE books just because of that one movie.
