I read most all of it. It was for a class - but I plan on later going back and reading the sections we weren't assigned to read. What struck me the most is what they said about Mary - but my being Catholic might have something to do with that. I think, just like with the Bible, most misconceptions have to do with individual interpretation. It did come across as "women are property" but so does the Bible - this is probably just because for that time period that was what everyone was taught. It also had alot about 'disbelievers" and how it is better to kill a "disbeliever" than a "believer." etc. My copy is not with me right now but this is what stuck out to me.
