Have you tried the TV show version of this? I wasn't blown away but will give it another episode.

I mean, if a drug makes you the smartest person in the world, where's the conflict? I think there is conflict, as demonstrated by Ramez Naam and Nancy Kress but in the show, hmm.

It was OK. I'll give it another episode.

The conflict will come from the secrecy surrounding the drug, and people who will kill for it as demonstrated by the pilot.

I fear its simply going to be some new killer each week after the pills.

Ha that's what my husband said - bad guy of the week. It would be a shame.

That's how network TV works, sadly.
