Found a few authors who should probably be deleted instead of merged, so I'm leaving them here for consideration. :) I couldn't find a thread to post these to, so I created this one. I hope that's okay!

(And just for the record, if there really isn't a topic for this, I think there really should be! It's amazing how many miscreated authors we have on GR!)

Whew! I'm really sorry for the long(!) post.

Empty profiles should be automatically wiped out by system maintenance. I'm not sure how often that runs, though.

Working on fixing some of the ones that have actual books under them.

Fixed the C.S. Lewis profiles.

If the correct author profile is a GR author profile, there is a thread for merging those.
Empty profiles should not be listed in that thread. Profiles with books, followers, quotes should, because only GR Staff can merge these. (Books and quotes can be moved to the correct profile by a librarian).

Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I figured there was nothing I could do to the ones which weren't blank, but I had no idea the system would delete the others on its own. It's great to know! Sorry for the confusion, and thanks, both of you!
