Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments What are your reading essentials? In other words, what are some items you always need around you while you're reading?

message 2: by Azaria (new)

Azaria Gerardo (bookflix) | 471 comments I can only read comfortably and effectively on my bed, the lights in a dim setting. With, a bottle of water and/ or ginger ale.

message 3: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments My book is really all I need! I literally read my book on my couch, at my computer, in line at the store, walking down the halls at our school, going potty, at my desk at school if the students are doing quiet work such as a test, walking around the room as I monitor their work, inside of a restaurant, outside at a park, and more.

I will say that my favorite place to read is on my couch when it is sunny outside and it is QUIET.

The one place I CANNOT read is in my bed. LOL

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) I just need my book and sometimes a nice cup of tea.

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Vicki, I love to walk and read! I trip much less if I have a book than if I don't.

I use to do that, but I don't really go anywhere anymore so I can't. >.>

If it's not too personal of a question, may I ask why you don't go anywhere? Is that by choice or a health issue or??

I have an anxiety disorder and it's hard for me to go out a lot of the time. I mostly travel by car now I feel safer that way. :)

Mehsi Essentials? I just need a book and I am gone in the world of that book. Just ask my boyfriend, I will just open a book and then I am just not there any more. :) Which he finds amazing that I can just tune out like that.

Joline | 3 comments I prefer a glass of water, a pen, and blankets surrounding me, but if that's not available all I really need is a quiet area.

message 26: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 5 comments A coffee or a tea is a must when I read. I'd prefer it to be somewhere quiet, but if I am completely lost in a book, it doesn't matter. :)

message 27: by Bailey (new)

Bailey Grimm I have to be somewhere where I can relax not something stiff. I also need good light and decent quiet
