Yay! The little 'commit' bar should show up automatically tomorrow, but if it doesn't(because I'm a total loser when it comes to programming fancy stuff into Goodreads) we'll use this thread as a backup instead!

Yay! The little commit bar just went *LIVE* today, Maria! You might want to mosey over and sign up for the official tally, but since I'm kinda new at running a challenge, if anybody reads the books, I will count them however they are tallied :-)

I just picked 2 books that were already on my TBR list. The Listopia was really helpful to compare notes on what I'd already downloaded and meant to get to anyways (at some point....)

And the *WINNER* is Maria Dodd! Congratulations, Maria! Watch your PM inbox so you can send me your snail mail address (not here).

The challenge:
Read a paranormal-themed book during the month of April that makes you laugh. Challenge runs from April 1-30, 2014. Prizes will be selected on or about May 1st.
Chances of winning:
For each book you complete and rate/review, your name will be entered into a drawing. Each book counts as a 'chance' to win, so if you read 5 books, you will have five chances. A winner will be selected via Random.org.
The prize:
In February, we read Rosemary and Rue in the October Sky series by author Seanan McGuire because, well, I (MOD-Anna) am a squeeing fangirl. Well after that, I went to the BOSKONE science fiction conference and met Ms. McGuire in person and
tackled her to the floor in the dealer's room and refused to let her get up until she autographed it... uhm ... sweet-talked her into autographing a brand new copy of Rosemary and Rue attributed to the Lovers of Paranormal group to be used for a future book giveaway prize. If you've ever met Seanan McGuire in person, you know she is pee-your-pants funny and that humor came out in the Author Interview she granted to our group. Whoever wins will get snail-mailed that autographed paperback.. . . . . . . . . . IT'S AUTOGRAPHED To Lovers of Paranormal!!!

Where can I find funny books?
Here are some Listopia's suggesting some funny paranormal reads if you need ideas, or you can choose a recommendation from a friend:

Collecting Your Prize:
Because I (MOD-Anna) am still learning my way around how to program in a challenge, leave a link to your review and if it so moves you, comments about what you read in the thread below so I can add each 'chance' you earn to my old-fashioned, clunky spreadsheet. And oh ... tell us what you think of the books you read?
