So what does everyone think of the book so far?

Sabrina | 8 comments Sorry forgot to comment yesterday haha. I am quite enjoying the book thus far, although it is a bit more romance than I anticipated. It really bothers me how Aspen can't just accept that America wants to do something nice for him (in the beginning when she bakes him the sweets and food) all she was trying to do was show that she cares for him. I don't think he should have gotten upset about that. I also really like how it isn't the typical romance were the main character falls madly in love with the guy even though she said she didn't like him in the beginning.
I am really excited to read the rest of the book!

I know what you mean about Aspen talk about frustrating, I wanted to slap him myself. I understand where he is coming from wanting to provide for his "woman", but seriously dude get over it. I like Maxon so far he seems like a genuinely decent guy. I enjoy that America has her own personality and I think Maxon enjoys that too. I am super excited to read the rest I had to force myself not to read ahead.

My theory is that Aspen is going to get drafted and become a guard or something in the castle. Im also thinking that maybe while Aspen is a guard that the bad rebels will come and America will try to do something to protect Aspen or will be freaking out and Maxon will realize that he is the person she was talking about when she said she had loved someone before.

Daniel | 9 comments I think Aspen acted out of true love. He wanted to give America a fair chance to choose. Either her current love,Aspen, as well as a life of pure poverty. Or maybe she will also "love" Maxon and he will be able to literally treat her like a queen. If he wouldn't have let her go Aspen would have had an unfair advantage and if he would have won over America's heart they both would always be wondering for the rest of there lives WHAT IF!?

Yah I see what you mean about Aspen and your right it was probley very hard to try to care for your whole family and also try to stash away money for the girl he loves. I think that later on Aspen will try to fight for her or at least I hope he will. Though I like Maxon too he is super sweet so far and I love there relationship him going to her for advice and them just talking and hanging out. Super cute.

Daniel | 9 comments I think Aspen needs to give America her space. In order for him to truly give America a chance with Maxon he needs to lay low for a while. If America really loves Aspen she will at least get a great time at the palace while her family gets a nice break. If she really loves Aspen she will come back. Not to be cliche but if you love something you must set it free. LOL
