I've been buying Christie and Sayers over and over again - because I get rid of the books after I've read them.

Hi Sebastien - I joined because I enjoy Christie and this group is currently reading Poirot in order. But I have found the members here to be a wealth of information about others of the period and I have happily wandered.

Welcome Seb! We've also got some sci-fi/fantasy readers in the group who enjoy our GA detective stories. I am a fan of Tolkien especially, and Asimov and Bradbury.

Hello, I´m Michaela from Vienna, Austria. I recently re-discovered mystery, but haven´t read more than Agatha Christie and Arthur Conan Doyle, so I hope to find other authors for me, as I love good detective stories.

Hi all, after lurking and looking at the Kindle deals thread for a while now I finally joined! I'm Lucy from London, my favourite author is Agatha Christie. I think And Then There Were None is my top choice!
I read a lot of crime, I like some oldies like Ngaio Marsh and also some 20th century like Inspector Morse. Looking forward to joining in with the group reads!

Welcome Lucy, glad you were finally tempted! There are lots of Christie fans here, and as you might have noticed we are also doing a Ngaio Marsh challenge - we are on to her later books which don't really follow on so it is fine to jump in!

Elizabeth, my favourite Inspector Morse book is probably The Secret of Annexe 3. It was fun to go to Oxford and see some of the places mentioned in the books.

Thanks Wsm for the invite as well :) I'm from California and am a big fan of all types of classic books, so the classic detectives and mysteries I'm always interested in as well. I've read a few Agatha Christie novels, my favorite being Murder on the Orient Express and am a big Sherlock Holmes fan, both short stories and some of the novels as well.

I'm new here (thanks, WSM for the invite!), but no stranger to British mystery/crime fiction. I love the big names in this genre, but my preference is for older, less-read writers of yesteryear, mainly women whose books have been all but forgotten these days. I'll look forward to interacting with everyone here.
