Dharmakirti | 942 comments While re-watching David Lynch's film and re-reading the novel, artist Matt Rhodes found himself wanting "...a four-hour Dune movie designed by Tarsem Singh’s crew (production designer, art director, costume designer, cinematographer, etc…)."

And then he created some really awesome concept art.

Brendan (mistershine) | 930 comments Nobody's really gotten Dune's look right yet, imo. I don't think that at some point in the future everyone's going to just forget how clothes work.

Ben Nash | 200 comments I love this art. Seeing an animated mini-series with this art based on the first Dune book would be so great.

Dharmakirti | 942 comments I get a Don Bluth vibe from the artwork, I love it. I would so watch this as an animated film.

If Tarsem Singh ever decided to adapt Dune, I would be love to check it out. Even when his films don't work, they are beautiful to look at.

John (Nevets) Nevets (nevets) | 1903 comments I get more of a Peter Chung (Aeon Flux) influence from the art. But either way, I think it is really cool.

And I know I'm in the minority, but I never really minded Lynch's take on the story. It was a bit different then Frank Herbert's vision, but I still thought it was good.

Joseph | 2433 comments I still want to see Lynch's cast, costumes and sets used with the script from the SciFi miniseries.

The wierding way is high end martial arts, not yelling into your Apple Watch....get rid of that and the rain, and I'm fine with the Lynch Dune
