I should be able to get books 2 and 3 in a couple of days.

So I read the prologue which had me crazy confused and the first 5 chapters which are making more sense now. I'm finding this story pretty weird though.

I'm still working on the prologue; got distracted with moving today. I'll probably get more reading in tonight, though. I was afraid it was going to be weird...I'm getting that with the prologue.

So I read up to chapter 20 last night and I'm still a lil confused about what is going on lol. When it comes to Jack I kept thinking (view spoiler)[that he cheated on her and broke up with her but he said when he left for camp that was the last time they talked. (hide spoiler)] So now I'm curious on why she left.

Starting chapter 12 now. It is pretty confusing. Especially with the timelines going back and forth.

But I think I like this book, even though I really haven't figured out why she went with Cole in the first place. Hoping a lot of things get answered as the book goes on.

I'm only on chapter three and desperately confused so far! Been really busy last few days, I'll try to read more tonight and hopefully understand what is happening lol

As the book goes on, I'm really loving the mythology of the Everneath and the Everliving and everything. I think it gets a little less confusing now. About to start chapter 27. (view spoiler)[I don't believe that Jack would just abandon her when she's fated to leave again. I'm hoping he and Will went to find a solution, though I have no idea what or where they would even look. (hide spoiler)]

Finished with Everneath, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. But, (view spoiler)[nooo, Jack! I was so proud of him for being strong like Orpheus and taking Nikki's place in the Tunnels. He truly loves her, and it's beautiful. Even though it means he's stuck, I'm happy they're still being each other's anchors and keeping their dreams/memories alive. Should mean there's a chance he can come back, right? I believe so!

I'm not sure how to feel about Cole. I genuinely think he cares for Nikki. I don't approve of what he did, his "experiment" with someone who wasn't a Daughter of Persephone, but I actually kind of like him overall. But if the queen finds out about her, then what? (hide spoiler)]

Really looking forward to seeing where this story goes! I'll be reading the novella, Neverfall and then continue on probably in a couple of days...if I can wait that long. :P

So I finished and I completely agree with you Amanda. But how did they (view spoiler)[ explain Jack's disappearance? How did they explain Nik's when she came back? Why do they all think she's on drugs and can't remember her life. Her dad is making her take drug tests and Jack's mom told him to give up on her after she was gone a month. Why wouldn't people be searching for her especially since she's the mayor's daughter? (hide spoiler)] I'll probably start Neverfall tonight.

I wondered about that, too, Joycedale. In Neverfall, (view spoiler)[we get to see more of what happened, from Cole's point of view. And he had Nik write a letter that was left for her dad to find. We don't see what exactly was written in the letter...but I'm wondering if that's the reason they weren't super concerned about her and thought she was on drugs? That whole drug thing really confused me, because there was no evidence anywhere that that's what she was into. It was just a weird conclusion everyone came to.

I'm wondering about Jack's disappearance, as well. His true love comes back, and then he disappears? Sure thing. I'm sure Will came up with some excuse for his brother. Or I'm hoping? Maybe we find out in Everbound about all that.

I have to say, though, that reading Neverfall made me love Cole even more. Even if he wants her, and wants her to let go of Jack. Don't see that going over well. I love Jack, and I'm rooting for him and Nik...but I'm kind of rooting for Cole, too. (hide spoiler)]

Read Neverfall and idk what to think. It did make me like Cole more than I did but (view spoiler)[I don't think he loves Nikki. I agree with Max that its an obsession (hide spoiler)] I much prefer Jack for Nikki. If this plays out like almost every YA romance that's who she'll end up with. Most of the time they choose the first love interest, but not always, so we'll see.

Sorry guys, I've been quite busy...but I've finished Everneath and yeah, it really was a bit confusing at start but then it turned out great. Liked it though I kind of prefer Cole to Jack. I be heading for Neverfall now.

I'm starting Everbound today.

I didn't make it very far in Everbound and then didn't read at all yesterday but I'm back at it today :-)

I'll be starting on Everbound probably sometime today or tomorrow.

I've just finished Everbound. And I think I may have talked too fast about Cole being good for Nikki. This book channged my opinion...though I still kind of have a soft spot for Cole. (view spoiler)[ I was shocked by Adonia's appearance as the queen and how she was cruel to Nikki about how the latter shouldn't have a chance at love as the former never had it. (hide spoiler)]

I finished too. I told y'all Jack was the better one lol. (view spoiler)[I was surprised Cole turned her against her knowledge, I didnt think he would sink that low. I'm not actually surprised by the queen. she had a long time to turn bitter over it. I wonder what's up with Jack's size and what Cole is going to do with her heart? (hide spoiler)]

Finished Evertrue. Poor Cole but I guess this was ought to happen to him. I liked how everything was well planned to lead to this one monet, that is the end. (view spoiler)[ Jack becoming stronger to plant the bomb, Ashe becoming Shade to be able to help Nikki and her little group by killing the shades, Will being in the army to make a bomb and finally, Cole suffering from amnesia to achieve redemption. (hide spoiler)]
All in all, I was really happy to having known the series.

And I've fallen behind. Started Everbound, but can't really get into it for some reason. I was going to read today, but ended up getting started on painting my bedroom. (I have sooo much painting to do in my new house) Hopefully I can get into this tomorrow, even if I have more painting to do. Would love to catch up with you guys! Sounds like things get interesting.

I just read chapters 11-15 imo it's the best 5 chapters in the series so far (view spoiler)[I never expected Cole to show up with amnesia. I died laughing when Nikki took off her hoodie. But it seems as though deep down Cole really was a good person and just became jaded over time. I guess he also really does love her.
Good thing I read the novella or I wouldn't have a clue who the Delphinian is, I bet it was the one he helped that turned him in. I wonder who told the queen about Nikki. I hope Ashe isn't actually turning them in. (hide spoiler)]

Finished. you're right about everything clicking into place Thejmeela. I have to say I did feel something for Cole by the end. (view spoiler)[I never expected him to sacrifice himself though. and why in God's name is her dad sending her rehab??? is she not passing all those drug tests? and since she obviously is doesn't he think maybe he should find out what the problem is? I'm on evertrue now, and I heard a song called powerful by major lazer and I felt it went good with this book. I've felt a little soft spot for cole from a few chapters in the beginning. But we'll see how it goes after he gets better. Can't wait till the end.

I felt sad for Cole too, because no matter what he loved Nikki. Abby, I love this song and it does kind of relate to the book.

Well, I"m still a cole fan, but sad about how it ended.
