Sam Finished Caraval, excellent YA fantasy with great word building and writing. Highly recommend if you're into that genre (and I don't read too much YA generally speaking). Comp/short sell: The Night Circus game/magic trappings meets whimsy, magic and heart of Miyazaki's Spirited Away. Five stars, such a pleasure to read!

Erin It's rare that I read two books in a row that I adore. The first was The Truth About Unicorns and the one I'm reading now is The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry. I haven't finished that one - I'm savoring it because I am enjoying it so much. I highly recommend both (even though I don't know the ending to The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry yet), haha.

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty it's amazing! I just finished
2 of her other books recently, Truly, Madly, Guilty and The Husband's Secret also both amazing. She has a way of writing that holds the reader's attention in such suspense you can't put the book down because you need to know what happens.

message 573: by Sabrina (new)

Sabrina The Book Lover I just finished the trilogy about Miss Peregrine's peculiar children and I've now moved on to No Greater Love by Danielle Steel. It's my first book by this author so I'm curious to see if I will like her style.

message 578: by Sam (new)

Sam I just finished Rebel of the Sands, and I feel like I completely missed why so many people loved this book. It felt messily executed and was just kind of boring overall. Anyone else read it? And if you liked it, can you tell me where I may have gone wrong and missed something in my read?
