Lee | 357 comments The plan was to put my current reads in it next to my desk.
Except. Oh dear, its all gone a bit pear shaped. Now I have
the books with favourite bits in that I like to read again from
time to time in the bag and the current to be read books on top.

But hey, I still have my current reads on the top of the bag
except its kind of grown from a few, to well, this many below.
then there is also my trusty book bag that also has new unread books
in it, it made sense to park it there by the rest.

best not to talk about the clear tub under the desk of previously read books,
and complete sets that I intend to buy covers for as they are keepers.
plus its hardly noticeable under the desk, well not by much.

Please tell me other readers face something similar so I can
feel better about myself and my storage habits. In case your wondering
yes we do have book shelves here all full to bursting. Plus we have
what we call massive book culls a couple of times a year,
we have a ruthless throw out and take the unwanteds to the charity shop.

Raquel (Rocki) (raquelrocki) | 1005 comments Sherrilyn Kenyon!!!! That's all I came to say... at least your pile looks like its doable to read mine is a whole book case and a half plus a big pile of tbr books stacked on a counter... and I am okay with that... most of the time :P

you are not alone.

Sandra | 25908 comments My tbr shelf is over 3,500 and I own all those, so I have them on bookcases all over the house, plus the kindle cloud and ebooks on the computer & external drive.

So I don't see you as having a problem Lee. You just need to turn those books sideways so you can read the spines. Love the pretty bag. LOL.

Raquel (Rocki) (raquelrocki) | 1005 comments Wow Sandra and I thought 450+ books was bad hehehe now I can use you as and excuse when my boyfriend says something hehehehe

Sandra | 25908 comments Yep, feel free. Just remember I've had a lot of yrs to acquire some of my tbr.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 9662 comments That's why I prefer library loan and kindle/ebooks, less obvious but still there.

Sandra | 25908 comments If only my local library had all the books I wanted to read :(

Steph (angel4492) | 32706 comments Oh geez. We are NOT counting books right now. I couldn't read them all if I lived 10 lifetimes. And ... still buyin'! :D While I love and cherish my PB & HC, I'm also thankful for eBooks - makes moving and stowing away stash so hubby doesn't flip much easier!

Sandra | 25908 comments 3 bedrm + study + family rm house with only the 2 of us in it Lee :)

That's why I've started buying kindle & ebooks so there is less physical stuff. I've got too much stuff.

Vivian (_vivian) | 1934 comments I just cleaned out books this past week! A couple of banker boxes full, I'm not counting lol. A lot of my buys are ebooks nowadays because there just wouldn't be enough physical space for the books and I don't even read that much anymore (relative to others in this group). I once had a currently reading/next in line pile on my night stand, it turned into a whole shelf. Life goes on ;)

Sandra | 25908 comments Good on you Vivian, I hate letting books go. But I do have a box sitting in B2 for donation and every now & then I add a book to it. And I've never taken a book out yet! Go me! LOL.
